About
Joana Perey has a passion for acting and a love of telling stories, but she can also be found kicking butt playing Street Fighter and perfecting her “famous” mashed potatoes in her spare time.
As an actor, she got her start very early on, in a few of her elementary school plays, however it was in high school when she caught the bug and knew she wanted to pursue her love for acting.
As a mashed potato connoisseur, she also got her start early on. Growing up her mom never made mashed potatoes from scratch only the “add water” boxed kind. At some point, she vowed to her mom that when she grew up and moved out, she would never again eat boxed mashed potatoes and would learn how to make the best from scratch. And that she did.
Going back to her passion for acting, she has recently studied at The Margie Haber Studios and previously with Judy Kain at Keep It Real Acting Studios (KIRA), Paul Hungerford at KIRA as well as The Groundlings for improv and at The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.
Joana recently hosted 2 panels at UPLINK 2021 Gaming Virtual Convention. Her other credits include Lifetime Movie “Who Wants Me Dead?”, tv show "Franklin & Bash", feature film "Blood on Canvas" streaming on Amazon Prime, short film “A Good Life”, various commercials, as well as national print campaigns for Target.
Other fun facts: Joana recently accomplished a 6 mile running goal, has taken a few archery classes, used to be a poker dealer and currently a volunteer tutor with Reading Partners, a nonprofit program helping students who struggle to read at their reading level.
Joana currently has a manager in Los Angeles and in Seattle/Portland area
